Keene sees off Lonely Planet at Falkland Islands Tourism Awards

Lonely Planet, Audley Travel and Seabourn, were some of the prestigious companies that Keene saw off when it claimed the top spot at a recent awards ceremony organised by the Falkland islands Tourist Board. Keene was placed first in the category for ‘Outstanding Contribution to Tourism by an Outside Firm’.

Although we were unable to attend the awards ceremony, which took place at the Jetty Visitors Centre on  April 12th, Keene’s Managing Director, Simon Quarendon, will be travelling to the Islands later this year and will be presented with the award in person by the FITB’s Managing Director, Tony Mason.

Commenting on the award, Simon said, “The Tourism Awards honour those who have made a difference to the Falklands Islands tourism industry and so this is an extra special win for us”.
