Boutique hotel operator, Marrakech Riad, has appointed Keene Communications to handle a PR campaign to raise awareness of its luxury Moroccan portfolio.
English owned and managed, Marrakech Riad consists of three boutique hotels in the old town Medina of Marrakech, offering unparalleled personal service with a small team of dedicated staff on hand to take care of guests’ every need. Each hotel has just four or five guest rooms and a dedicated, English speaking Moroccan staff offering a complete 24/7 concierge service. Guests can expect extras such as complimentary toiletries, breakfast served at the time of their choosing, help booking restaurants and excursions and if required, the loan of a local pay-as-you-go mobile to tap into the Moroccan hosts’ local know-how while out exploring. Delicious three-course Moroccan dinners can be dished up on request.
Riad Papillon, Riad Cinnamon and Dar Habiba have been painstakingly restored working with traditional materials and craftsmen while incorporating conveniences like air conditioning, iPod docking stations and Wifi. These old traditional ‘riad’ – meaning garden in Arabic – houses are set within the walls of the mediaeval city of Marrakech, providing atmospheric and intimate spaces with all rooms looking onto the cool and shady central courtyard.
Unique to this part of the world, staying in a riad affords the opportunity to live alongside the locals and experience an ancient way of life first hand. From romantic escapes to relaxing family breaks and group get-togethers, the three stylish houses offer the perfect retreat in Morocco’s captivating imperial city.
Riad Cinnamon is a former merchant’s house located in a quiet residential area in the heart of the old town, sleeping up to 16 guests in five suites. The hotel boasts a cloistered patio with dipping pool and one of the most remarkable roof terraces in Marrakech with views across the rooftops of the Medina to the Atlas Mountains.
Riad Papillon is an intimate and luxurious riad located in the fashionable Dar El Bashah district of the Medina, with five guestrooms sleeping up to 11 people. The hotel also boasts a dipping pool, patio and roof terrace complete with sunbeds, dining areas and a Moroccan tent.
Dar Habiba is a traditional secluded riad offering one suite and three rooms (sleeping up to nine people) sharing a shady courtyard, minutes from the famous Jemma al Fnaa square. Facilities include a dipping pool, roof terrace and a Hammam with private candlelit sauna and the opportunity be cleansed from head to toe.
